主讲人简介：Marcus Taft，澳大利亚新南威尔士大学资深教授，从事视觉词识别研究逾40年，尤其在阅读过程中多词素词和多音节词的识别方面的研究尤为突出。他的研究领域还包括汉语，日语和韩语等多种语言的阅读过程等。
本次讲座，Taft 教授将着重介绍英语和汉语阅读中语音表征可能被激活，以及语音表征激活的特性等研究成果。

Prof. Marcus Taft has worked in the area of visual word recognition for over 40 years and is particularly known for his work on polymorphemic and polysyllabic word recognition during reading. He has also conducted research into Chinese, Japanese, and Korean reading processes.
The focus of the colloquium he will be presenting is the way in which phonology might be activated when reading English and Chinese, with consideration given to the nature of the phonological representation involved.
